Ted's on the park - Detroit, Michigan (gay friendly restaurant)

Ted's was located on Woodward Ave just north of the old Backstage. It was a popular after hours restaurant.

    Ted's closed many years ago and is now a used car dealer. It's was south of Nevada and is now a used car lot.

    I loved going to Ted's in the 70's. It was the best back then! in fact ALL the bars were BETTER then. You ignorant illiterate little whores of the 80s and especially the90's will NEVER KNOW and NEVER have what WE HAD!-Good luck and Good Bye!

    Ted's on the Park was great fun well into the 80s. It burned down in the late 80s or early 90s. It was basically a Clock style restaurant with a fascinating cross-section of Detroit night life. Prostitutes, pimps, bikers, people from the many gay bars in the area and some of the most hilariously profane waitresses anywhere.

    I bought a cool photo at a yard sale. It has an older woman at the cash register and 2 waitresses. On the back it says "Teds on the Park, Detroit." I'd add it on this reply, but there is nothing saying I can add a photo
