  1. Club La-De-Dot was on E.Seven Mile Rd., a few blocks east of Ryan Rd., on the north side of the street. The owner was a hot looking, muscular guy named Vince, who was rather Italian looking, with shoulder length thick curly hair. He seemed to be in his late 20s-early 30s, at that time. Rumor had it he was straight and married. Vince was cute and had a nice smile, and did a lot of flirting with the few customers that were there.

I was there about a half dozen times shortly after it opened, late in the evening, probably after 10:00 p.m., until after 1:00 a.m. The times I was there, the place was never busy, with maybe, only 5-6 guys throughout the late night. The bar had another bartender that worked the nights Vince was off. He was an older guy than Vince, maybe in his middle to late 50s. That guy was a journeyman bartender, as I recall seeing him at one or two other bars around the Detroit area.

Club La-De-Dot was several miles west of the Male Box and Club Gold Coast, in more of a residential area, and just never caught the fancy of the Detroit gay community. The bar closed within about five years. Looking on the street view of Seven Mile Rd., on Google Maps, it appears the building has been torn down.
