Climax (Gay Bar)

    The Climax was alcohol free so it could stay open after hours. It was also a hang out for anybody under age. It was next door to Eddy's Bar. I remember sitting at the bar in Eddy's one night in 1969. A uniform cop casually strolled in, had a cup of coffee, got an envelope from the bartender and left. I asked the bartender about it and he said it was how the bar stayed open and avoid any raids. That was a real eye-opener.

    The climax would have local bands on the weekend's and was quite popular with the kids I'm surprised there aren't more comments .....but know this the bouncer from Eddie's bar Sandy ( supposedly straight used to harrass many of the. Gay kids and threatened many so alot never came back.

    He came to our house over a returned check and threatened to pistol whip my lover unbeknownst to him I had a double barrelled shotgun pointed. Right at him if he would have hit my lover of 10 years I'd have blown him away!!
