Adams's Apple - Detroit, Michigan (Gay Bar)

The Adam's Apple (Still open) is located at 18931 W Warren in Detroit. I've been there once. Kind of a local watering hole type place. It does not attract a large crowd. Post your stories about this bar. Note: I think this used to be called Ken's.

  3. This place was called Ken's Pub for many years before it became the Adam's Apple.

  4. I heard a rumor once that when it was called Ken's, the owner or bartender kicked out a gay couple for kissing in the bar. Anyone ever hear that story?

  5. I used to love this place 2002-2008 or so. Had a bartender named Doug, which is the real reason I loved this place. He was partnered, but didn't stop me from oogling him everytime I was in there and getting to know him. He moved to Hawaii and it made me so sad I never went back. Hope he is having a grand life, he was so kind and sexy, really a great guy. As a gay bar it was very welcoming and comfortable, not a lot of flash and noise, more causual and conversational. Good place to meet older guys in those days, don't know what it is like now.

  6. This bar is where Detroit's old tired alcoholic queens hang out. There are two especially noisy African fags to avoid!

  8. Adam's Apple is now THE place to go, especially on the weekends!
Fridays are even more PACKED since winning WDIV'S Best Karaoke bar 2015!
If you haven't been to the Apple in awhile, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
